A FEW GENTLE REMINDERS
Black Tie
We'd love you to dress for a formal evening: tuxedos or dark suits with bow ties for the gentlemen, floor-length gowns or elegant formal wear for the ladies.
Please avoid wearing white. It's reserved for the bride.
The celebration is on a farm with lawn and gravel underfoot, so block heels or wedges are kinder than stilettos. April evenings can turn cool, so bring a wrap or jacket for later.
Getting There
TRAVEL & PARKING
By car
The farm is just outside East London, near Gonubie. Please navigate using the map buttons above, because the farm has no street address. There's plenty of parking on the property.
Getting home safely
We'd love you to celebrate with us properly, so please plan your ride home. Bolt operates in East London, or arrange a designated driver.
Flying in?
King Phalo Airport (ELS) is about 9 km from the city centre, with daily flights from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban and car hire at the airport. From there it's roughly a 25-minute drive to the farm.
Where to Stay

Most of our guests are local, but if you're coming from further away, these are lovely places close by. We recommend booking early.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I bring a plus-one?
We've kept our celebration intimate, so we can only accommodate the guests named on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, you'll be able to add their name when you RSVP.
Are children welcome?
We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only celebration.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive by 14:00; the ceremony starts promptly at 14:30.
Is the ceremony outdoors?
Yes, on the lawn, with a covered plan should the weather turn.
What will the weather be like?
April afternoons are usually warm (around 25°C) with cooler evenings. Bring a wrap.
Is there parking?
Yes, there's plenty of parking on the farm.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We'd love an unplugged ceremony. Please keep phones away and let our photographer capture it, then snap away at the reception.
I have dietary requirements. What do I do?
